That's the whole origin story, honestly.
I bought the wrong paddle first. Then I bought another wrong paddle, because a website with 27 "best paddles" and zero opinions told me to. Somewhere around the third paddle I realized the problem: almost every paddle site is written for paddle nerds, by paddle nerds, with affiliate links doing the actual deciding.
Noobs Pickleball is the site I wanted on day one. It asks how you actually play — in normal human language — and tells you what fits, what it costs, and what you give up. Every recommendation shows its tradeoff, because a paddle with no downsides is a paddle nobody has been honest about.
The scores start as drafts built from specs and community consensus, and they say so right on the page. As real players (including me) log court time, the scores get better. If you disagree with one, join and say so — that's the whole model.
No shame. Just better paddle decisions.
